About Grand Soleil 56: The Grand Soleil 56 is one of our favourite sailing boats. It is designed by Philippe Briand and is one of the the latest demonstration of Cantiere del Pardo's ethos and indeed philosophy of building a high quality performance-cruiser sailing yacht. The boat is in general easy to sail even shorthanded while to a crew of up to 8 persons providing high end comfort and luxury. As her smaller, but also very successful sister ships in the Grand Soleil range, GS56 offers a very sleek and modern hull and with an efficient deck plan, simple and clean, designed both for racing and for safe long distance cruising, it represents a perfect owner or bareboat charter sailing yacht. In terms of design, special care has been paid to the access to the cockpit from the water and shore. Great care has also been given to the weight distribution, installations of all mechanical and electrical equipment (power generator, air-conditioning, water-maker..) as well as to their housing for easy use and maintenance. The interior offers fantastic living area and with a headroom of well above 2m or 6'6'', everyone can be sure to be feeling homely and welcome.
