Yacht charter in Kvarner - North Croatia -
Kvarner
is in many ways one of the best tourist destinations in the world. Yacht
charter in the area is very well developed with dozens of marinas being
located in this very densely populated area. Local tourism office
pro-actively represents it's spectacular tourism offer at many fairs,
exhibitions and promotions in cities across Europe and worldwide. As
a result, the offer is continuously improving.
When to sail:
For
sailing and motor yacht charters, the best season is during June, July,
August and September. During these months you can enjoy all the best
of what the region has to offer. Apart from fabulous sailing
itineraries amongst its spectacular islands and along the coast across the
channel to Istria or further South to North Dalmatia, you will also find
numerous concerts, festivals, concerts and other types of entertainment.
Most of all you will find lovely family run or luxury restaurants, markets
with fresh food and fish on display every day as well as major tourist
resorts for lively nights and partying and secluded beaches and harbours
for a relaxing day at sea. April, May and October are best times for
real sailing enthusiasts, while the other months of the year are best
spent in numerous luxury villas and hotels or spas in the region and using
day charter boats for fast spins to the neighbouring islands.

year. This fact is confirmed by the great number of visitors coming to
Kvarner for vacation or business meetings, public or church holidays, or
to celebrate an important date. You can take part in the Asparagus or
Dance Festival, relax on restaurant or café terraces, enjoying wonderful
views of the magnificent parks, blue sea or green woods!

How to get
here:
In addition to the very good road connections to nearby Rijeka Airport,
which is located on the island of Krk, Kvarner can also be easily reached
from the airports of Zagreb, Pula, Ljubljana, or Trieste. Rijeka is less
than two hours' drive on motorway from Zagreb, and only five hours from
Budapest.

Regatta
- 10th Fiumanka -
This year, for the 10th time many Croatian
and international sailors will meet in Kvarner again. In the period
between the 11th to 13th of June Rijeka city will host new Fiumanka
regatta – for the tenth time. The already traditional Kvarner regatta is
not only a sailing competition, but a fantastic spectacle too !!
