Yacht charter in North Dalmatia
Sailing in North Dalmatia is one of the best experiences one can get.
There are around 500 islands, islets and reefs in an area of around 50NM
radius. There are virtually hundreds of possible itinerararies here.
One should aim to visit tourist resorts of Vodice and Biograd, Nature Park
Telascica Bay, Saharun beach on Ugljan and at least some of the islands of
the Kornati National Park. Not to be missed are also Krka Waterfalls
National Park, medieval town of Sibenik with its famous cathedral, lovely
town of Brodarica and of course Skadar which is the main access point to
Krka.
When to sail:
For
sailing and motor yacht charters, the best season is from early May to mid
October. During these months you can enjoy all the best
of what the region has to offer. Apart from fabulous sailing
itineraries amongst its spectacular islands and along the coast, you will also find
numerous concerts, festivals, and other types of entertainment.
Most of all you will find lovely family run or luxury restaurants, markets
with fresh food and fish on display every day as well as major tourist
resorts for lively nights and partying. True sailing enthusiasts
will also encounter private secluded beaches and harbours
for a relaxing or indeed an active day at sea. April, May and October are best times for
real sailing enthusiasts, while other months are best for relaxing family
adventures.

Both Zadar and Sibenik region used to be seen as poorest areas of the
Croatian coastline. Istria and Kvarner always attracted year round
tourists, Split and Dubrovnik region have since Croatian independence
become one of the best tourist destinations in the world. North Dalmatia
is rapidly developing as well now and in particular nautical tourism is
galloping with 60% of Croatian charter fleets being located here.
How to get
here:
In addition to good flight connections to Zadar airport, North Dalmatia is
fantastically well connected with Western Europe
through its modern motorway network which was completed in 2002.
Famous Sveti Rok tunnel and views towards the Kornati is not to be missed
if you are coming by car. Rail network and Bus schedule are also
offering services to this area and can be recommended.

There are numerous events in Dalmatia throughout the year. The best known
are certainly Dubrovnik Festival, Sinjska Alka or Split Festival of
