''Little sister to the hugely successful 54 DS, the 49 was developed by the same designers, Jacques Fauroux for the performance side and Vittorio Garroni for the comfort aspect, and project-managed by the Jeanneau design office.'' ![]() |

| S T A N D A R D E Q U I P M E N T - 49DS MODELS | |||||||||||
|
Designed by Philippe Briand , Vittorio Garroni, and the Jeanneau Design Team, the new 49DS shares many similarities with those of the 54DS. The most obvious of these similarities is found in the sculpted coach roof complete with signature cat-eye windows. The cockpit is large and comfortable and features twin steering wheels with the primary winches located well aft within easy reach of the helmsman. Two different layouts are offered. The first, features the owners cabin aft with private vanity and en suite head and shower. The forward cabin can be arranged as one large cabin or separated into two smaller cabins by installing the removable bulkhead. Two additional heads or one additional head and one shower compartment are located on both the port and starboard sides of the forward cabin. |
Full spec on individual yachts in specific locations (Croatia, Greece, Italy, France) supplied on request and on booking.
Below decks, the overall look and feel are the same as that of the 54DS. The main salon, because of the large windows in the coach roof coupled with plenty of opening deck hatches, is bright and airy. The galley is located one step down to starboard. Room for the installation of a generator is found at the foot of the companionway stairs under the salon floor. The placement of the generator and the galley is again in keeping with that of the 54DS. The chart table is located just opposite and slightly forward of the galley. A very comfortable settee is found forward of the chart table. Space for a flat screen TV and entertainment center has been specifically engineered just at the forward end of the settee.
