More about Lagoon 400:
Together with Lipari 41 from Fountain Pajot, this is the latest addition to constantly increasing bareboat catamaran charter fleets across the world. This newly designed cruising catamaran is offered in both 3 cabin and 4 cabin versions (including 3 or 4 bathrooms!). The Lagoon 400’s cockpit is exceptionally large and comfortable for a 12 m boat. She is built with the infusion technique for a better weight control and has a generous sail plan for sailing performance, even in light airs.
- Balance between volume and performance, - Saloon and cockpit, - Cabins and washrooms, - Accommodation and deck spaces. Also the harmony of soft lines reminiscent of the Lagoon 410's simplicity and inspired by the Lagoon 620's charm and elegance.
The deck space - advantages: - Hard top bimini in line with the cabin top for a better protection from the sun (streamlined, more aesthetic). - Easier to move around the stern, offering more shelter. - Easier access to the dinghy via the transoms - Flush deck hatches. - Moving around more safely (no step exceeds 220 mm). - Open cockpit for socializing. - Direct communication between cockpit and galley. - All controls brought back to the helm station.
The accommodation - advantages:
- Optimal practicality. - Maximum light in saloon and cabins. - Ventilation adapted to each area of the boat. - More stowage spaces in owner's cabin. - Saloon design inspired by the success of the Lagoons 420 and 440 where the galley is between the salon and the cockpit. - Unusual concept in the forward cabin(s) where the double bed can be converted into twin beds. - Shower curtain in the washrooms.
This practical and comfortable cruiser has a number of unique selling points including:
All controls lead to helm Rigid bimini as standard, streamlined for a more aesthetic look Flush decks and easy passage on wide side decks Aft transom steps: easy on board access Open cockpit with direct communication to galley Optimum light and ventilation Salon design inspired by the Lagoon 420 and Lagoon 440 with 360 visibility.
You will not find a more comfortable, easy handling or 'safe' catamaran to satisfy your cruising requirements.
Cruising World BOTY Winner:
The Lagoon 400 potential owners said they want cruising-cat accommodations to be closer to those you have in your house, and the designers delivered just that. As a result, the 400's hulls are wide, and they have the freeboard required to contain truly spacious living spaces—and generous bridgedeck clearance—in a 40-foot package. During their dockside visit, the judges found the design team of Marc Van Peteghem/Vincent Lauriot Prévost made no attempt to mask the height of the hulls with steps in the hull or deck. As a result, the boat had the most radical look of all the cats we tested. Still, we found that the deck is wide, flat, and easy to navigate and that the living space within was indeed impressive.
