We are pleased to announce that NEW sailing boats are already being confirmed for sailing season 2022. One of those is a completely new Lagoon 40 to be based in Kotor, Montenegro. With 4x en suite cabins she will be suitable for at least 8 charter guests and bareboat charter may also be possible with a sailing resume rather than with an official sailing certification or VHF which is usually requested in the Adriatic. Featuring 3x solar panels, el. toilets and el. fans in cabins, she is reasonbly well equipped for an independent sailing yacht charter holiday in an area where Air Condition is not a major requirement.
A small country but with large, rugged mountains, many medieval villages and narrow but exceptional strip of the Adriatic coastline, Montenegro is definitely a country worth visiting. The Bay of Kotor is like a fjord with a huge fortified wall on top of the large bay, which attracts many tourists from afar. Climbing all the way to the castle walls is a highlight for many on the first day of the charter. Sailing itinerary that follows the coastline and includes small towns such as Perast, within the Kotor Fjord or party town of Budva just outside of it as well as superyacht location of Tivat and a few other exceptional locations such as Sveti Stefan, a small island connected with the bridge and turned into a 5-star resort, is an ideal 7-day itinerary.
Longer-term charter can take you all the way South to towns of Bar and in particular miles long beach at Ulcinj town. We also recommend planning to visit other countries in the region, either on a sailing itinerary, by calling in Dubrovnik in Croatia at least or on a city tour, visiting Sarajevo in Bosnia, Mostar in Herzegovina and maybe some towns in Albania. Please call in to check if we can approve saiing across all these countries as at times insurance will not cover Albania for sailing, yet rent-a-car can be used to extend your holiday in the region.
You can also order half-board service while sailing, although in that case you need to book services of a cook who will provision the boat based on your dietary requirements. Skippers and chefs are both available from 150 Eur/day while additioanl water toys such as SUP is available from 100 Eur/week. ONE WAY charter is not always on offer, thus please do enquire if this is of interest.
