About Grand Soleil 39 yacht charter boat based in Carloforte, South Sardinia:
Initially launched in 2011 during Genoa Boat Show, the Grand Soleil 39′ has raised a great interest.  The stunning design of this sleek performance cruiser-racer has evolved from extensive research into the IRC and ORC rules and builds on the proven racing success of the Grand Soleil 43′ OT and the Grand Soleil 46′, while at the same time replacing the two models in the range. The Grand Soleil 39′ is extraordinarily sleek and elegant, featuring flush decks and hatches along with recessed roller furling for the non-overlapping headsail. She has an open transom, a large, ergonomic cockpit and twin wheel steering: a ‘first’ for a Grand Soleil of this size. This is a design feature which has proven practical and popular with both cruising and racing sailors amongst her larger sister ships in the past. Below decks the GS39 offers the same interior volume as the predecessor GS40, with: eight berths in three cabins and the saloon, a classic ‘L’ shaped galley and an option for a second heads. Conceived to combine comfort, style and functionality, she has design elements of much larger yachts, including superyachts and as such provides plenty of airy and daylight filled interior features with solid wood elements in alternation with white linear surfaces, all contributing to an interior design of this yacht’s fresh, modern and bright outlook.

Based in South Sardinia on Island di San Pietro's capital Carloforte, the Grand Soleil  39 is perfect for relaxing yacht charter holiday en route towards Cagliari, covering locations such as Teulada, Poetto, Marina di Capitana, Mare Pintau cove, Torre Delle Stelle town, capital Cagliari, Capo Carbonara promontory, Golfe degli Angeli, Bay of Villasimius, Isola dei Cavoli, Costa Rey, Malfatano, Porto Pino with one way yacht charters alongside Western coast of Sardinia towards Alghero or Olbia also available on request.  In order to book this boat, please call us, send an email or fill out a Yacht Charter Request Form.

More about Grand Soleil 39 yacht charter boat based in South Sardinia:
With her flat hull bottom and high-aspect-ratio appendages, the Grand Soleil 39 showed her sporty character and lively temperament. The boat responded quickly and dynamically. The surprisingly rapid acceleration and well-balanced rudder system make it easy to steer the boat safely on course while keeping up the pressure. Based on the velocity prediction numbers in the polar diagrams, the 39 earns good marks. At 14 knots of wind the boat is supposed to reach at 6.9 knots sailing high on the breeze at a true wind angle of 40 degrees.

With the Grand Soleil 39, the shipyard that makes the, Cantiere del Pardo, wanted to introduce more than just a new model, mainly since with Bavaria Yachtbau and Dufour Yachts in France all three brands operate under one roof since 2010, therefore all benefiting from synergies in production. As a result, in terms of design and construction, the Grand Soleil 39 is synonymous with a new beginning at Cantiere del Pardo. The designs were drawn by Italian Claudio Maletto, who succeeded Botin & Carkeek from Spain, Grand Soleil’s former standard designers. The 39 replaced two older models, the Grand Soleil 37 and the 40 with the most notable differences including a wider stern and an open cockpit, enabling the use of twin wheels with a passage between them, higher freeboard and more volume with wider beam and higher sideboards which created larger interior, but also the boat’s handicap under IRC (1.058) and ORC (602.8).

The rig has a sporty feel and is tuned for performance, typical for Grand Soleil sailing yachts of any size. Following the general trend in performance boats, the mast is positioned relatively far aft however, which extended the J-measurement, so the jib area, which is limited to a 106-percent overlap by the shrouds’ position, remained large enough to develop decent pressure in light air.
